A VERY bad case of cognitive dissonance

The communitylivejournal_uk is an unending source of fun. The number of lefties among its members its unnaturally high. I suppose it's due to a high number of stupid students brainwashed by their not less stupid professors. I've never seen a creature more stupid and arrogant than an average UK academic, especially from the Humanities. Occasionally you can meet some brighter types from the Engineering, but they are those exceptions that confirm the rule.
Well, returning to the community. Recently ockhamsadvocate published a post about her experience at her college where she's a teacher. She was astonished to discover that her Muslim students fervently hate gays and openly declare that gays should be killed. This post caused somewhat of the commotion in the community. It was hard for the lefties there to swallow the truth. The lefties here (and elsewhere for that matter) do not think. They have a fixed set of preconceptions and knee-jerk reactions.

1. Muslims are good because they are supposed to be oppressed and progressive.
2. Gays are good for the same reasons.
And when it appears that one set of supposedly good people hates the guts of another such set, well you should see them.

One especially bright guy turk_diddler even accused the lady who posted it of being a right-wing spammer (an Indian lady teacher being a right wing spammer, My God, only a crazy leftie could come up with this).
Another equally bright individual blue_cat asked: "can you compare it to the unthinking hatred some people have towards non-whites and muslims?"
What the hell had this to do with the issue? Possibly he was seeking some justification for the Muslim hatred of the gays in the fact that some people do hate the Muslims.
But the brightest one astray_penguintold: "This post seems like a troll. It's just a bit too much like a frontpage of The Sun."

Funny how these retards can't face the reality.
