Two men have been arrested in Coventry on suspicion of Syria related terrorism offences .
Officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit arrested a 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old man at two separate addresses in the city this morning.
The men were detained under section 15 of the Terrorism Act 2000 on suspicion of financing terrorism.
Officers are continuing to carry out searches at the addresses .
The second news:
Coventry has taken the highest number of Syrian refugees in the UK, according to Home Office figures.
The city accepted 105 people from October to March under the Government's expanded resettlement programme.
The council said the first refugees arrived in 2014 and all costs associated with it "are met by the UK Government".
