Soviet-era weaponry, especially Satana missiles is probably more dangerous to Russia than to her possible adversaries. Firstly, the missiles' terms of service were arbitrarily expanded two or three times. Secondly, these missiles were developed and serviced by Ukrainians who hardly would do this any more. And finally the warheads are probably of no use as Russians use tritium in some of them and its half-life is 12 years. Also they stopped the production of military grade plutonium during Eltsin's times. Nobody knows if the explosives they use in their nuclear warheads are still reliable.
